Marc Gellman, PhD, is Research Associate Professor of Psychology, University of Miami, FL, where he is also Associate Director of the Behavioral Medicine Research Center, Associate Director of the Health Psychology Training Program, and Associate Director of the Behavioral Medicine Training Program. He is the former Secretary of the International Society of Behavioral Medicine and long time Board Member of the Society of Behavioral Medicine, and serves on the Editorial Boards of the journals Health Psychology, Psychophysiology, Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice, Psychosomatic Medicine, and the International Journal of Psychophysiology. He is a member of American Psychological Association, the American Psychosomatic Society, and the Society of Behavioral Medicine, and is also Chairman of the Financial Planning Committee and Program Advisor for the upcoming Eleventh International Congress of Behavioral Medicine, to be held in Washington, DC in 2010.Previously, Dr Gellman was the Program Chair for the Society of Behavioral Medicine and the Program Co-chair for the International Society of Behavioral Medicine. He served on the Editorial Board of the Sage Publications scientific book series Behavioral Medicine and Health Psychology from 1997 to 2004. He also served as Program Advisor for the Tenth International Congress of Behavioral Medicine, held in Tokyo in August 2008.
