Robert Mitchell is Marcello Lotti Professor of English at Duke University. He is the author of Experimental Life: Vitalism in Romantic Science and Literature (Johns Hopkins, 2013), which won the Michelle Kendrick Memorial Book Prize of the Society for Literature, Science, and the Arts and the BSLS Book Prize of the British Society for Literature and Science.
